DispatchR Base Ops Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4/4/2026
- WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS APP IS
DispatchR Base Ops (“the App”) is the back-office companion to the DispatchR
field app, published by Echad Software, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). A trade or
service business (“the Business”) runs DispatchR Base Ops on its own Mac to
manage customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, inventory, technicians, scheduling,
and payment processing, and to see technician locations on a map.
The App has no account system operated by us and no server operated by us. All
records are stored in Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) under the Apple ID signed in on
the Mac, and locally on the Mac. The Business is the controller of the customer
information in the App. Echad Software, LLC does not have access to that
information.
- INFORMATION IN THE APP
a) Business and customer records entered or generated in the App
- Customer contact details: name, service and billing address, phone, email,
and notes. - Jobs, estimates, and invoices: descriptions, line items, prices, taxes,
scheduling, status, and notes. - Equipment records associated with a service address: type, manufacturer,
model and serial number, year, capacity, refrigerant, electrical ratings,
and location on the property. - Inventory items and stock levels.
- Technician profiles: name, employee identifier, phone, email, and
PIN-lock status. Technician location (latitude, longitude, timestamp) is
received from the DispatchR field app through iCloud when a technician has
enabled location sharing, and is shown on the technician map. - Payment and payout records: amounts, tips, taxes, payment method, the
processor’s transaction and payout identifiers, and receipt links. The App
does NOT store full card numbers, card security codes, or bank account
numbers (see Section 4). - Company settings: business name, address, phone, tax rates, and a company
logo image you choose.
b) Connected-account credentials (stored only on the Mac)
- To take payments and issue invoices, the Business connects its own
merchant accounts for Square and, if enabled, Stripe and PayPal, using
each provider’s OAuth sign-in. The resulting access and refresh tokens are
stored only in the macOS keychain on that Mac, marked non-syncing. They
are never written to iCloud and never sent to us, except as described for
the Square authorization relay in Section 4.
c) Local, non-synced technical data
- App preferences and small local state kept in standard macOS storage.
- Files you export (see Section 6) are written only to the location you
choose. - The App contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics
or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or
websites.
We do NOT collect: advertising identifiers, contacts, browsing history, or
health, fitness, or biometric data.
- HOW THE INFORMATION IS USED
Information in the App is used only to run the Business’s operations: managing
customers and documents, tracking inventory and equipment, scheduling and
dispatching technicians, displaying technician locations to the Business,
importing and reconciling payment history, and generating invoices, estimates,
and exports. We do not use this information for advertising or profiling and we
do not sell it.
- PAYMENT PROCESSING
Payments and invoicing are handled by third-party processors connected to the
Business’s own merchant accounts — Square, and where enabled by the Business,
Stripe and PayPal. Card and bank data is captured and transmitted by the
processor’s own systems; Echad Software, LLC and the App never receive full
card numbers or security codes. The App stores only the processor’s identifiers,
amounts, and receipt links needed to reconcile a payment with a job.
Square authorization relay: to keep our application’s secret key out of the
distributed app, the Square OAuth code exchange is relayed through a service
operated by [Echad Software, LLC. That service passes the request to Square and
returns Square’s response unchanged; it does not retain your Square tokens,
customer data, or transaction data.
Processor privacy policies:
- Square: https://squareup.com/legal/privacy
- Stripe: https://stripe.com/privacy
- PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/privacy-full
- DEVICE PERMISSIONS AND SYSTEM ACCESS
- Calendar: with your permission, the App reads and writes events in the macOS
Calendars you select, to schedule jobs. Optional. - Location: with your permission, the App uses your approximate location to
center maps and regional views. The technician map itself is populated from
location data that technicians choose to share through the field app, not
from this Mac. Optional. - Network access: to sync with iCloud, to reach the payment processors you
connect, and, during Square sign-in, to reach the Square authorization relay
described in Section 4.
Each permission is requested only when first needed and can be changed in
System Settings > Privacy & Security. Denying a permission disables the related
feature but otherwise leaves the App usable.
- DATA EXPORTS
The App can export accounting files (OFX) and inventory reports (CSV). These
files are generated on your Mac and saved only where you choose. Once exported,
their handling is up to you and any software you open them with.
- WHERE DATA IS STORED, AND WHO CAN ACCESS IT
Records are stored in Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) private database associated with
the Apple ID on the Mac, and locally on the Mac. Connected-account tokens are
stored only in the macOS keychain on the Mac. Apple processes and stores iCloud
data as an infrastructure provider under Apple’s Privacy Policy
(https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
Access is limited to the Business’s authorized devices signed into the relevant
Apple ID and, where the Business uses Apple’s data sharing, the people it shares
that data with. Echad Software, LLC operates no server that receives or stores
your records and cannot see them.
- DATA SHARING
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Information is disclosed only:
- to the payment processor the Business selected, to complete payments and
invoicing the Business initiates (Section 4); - to Apple, as the iCloud storage provider (Section 7);
- if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, or property, or in
connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this
policy will continue to apply to the information.
Any third party listed above provides privacy protection consistent with this
policy and with Apple’s App Store requirements.
- DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Records remain until the Business deletes them or removes the App and its
iCloud data:
- Delete individual customers, jobs, equipment, inventory, or payment records
inside the App. - Disconnect a payment provider in Settings to remove its stored tokens from
the keychain. - Delete the App and, in System Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage,
delete the App’s iCloud data to remove everything.
If you are a customer of a Business that uses DispatchR Base Ops and you want
your information corrected or deleted, contact that Business, which controls the
record. You may also contact us at [email protected] and we will help route the
request.
- SECURITY
Data in transit to iCloud, to payment processors, and to the Square
authorization relay is encrypted using transport encryption. iCloud data is
stored under Apple’s security controls. Connected-account credentials are stored
in the macOS keychain. No method of storage or transmission is completely
secure, but we and our providers use measures appropriate to the sensitivity of
the data.
- CHILDREN
DispatchR Base Ops is a business tool, is not directed to children, is not
intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
- YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live (for example under the California Consumer Privacy
Act or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or
port personal information about you, and to object to or restrict certain
processing. For records inside the App, the Business that operates it is the
controller; direct requests to that Business. You may also contact us at
[email protected] and we will assist. We will not
discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
- INTERNATIONAL USERS
The App relies on Apple’s iCloud infrastructure, which may store and process
data in the United States and other countries where Apple operates. By using
the App you understand that data may be processed in those locations.
- CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. The “Effective date” above will change and, for
material changes, we will provide notice through the App or the App Store
listing. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

DispatchR Remote Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4/6/2026
- WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS APP IS
DispatchR (“the App”) is a field-service tool published by Echad Software, LLC
(“we,” “us,” “our”). Trade and service businesses (“the Business”) use DispatchR
so their technicians can view assigned jobs, manage customers, create estimates
and invoices, record equipment installed at a service address, take job-site
photos, and accept in-person card payments.
The App has no account system operated by us and no server operated by us. All
business and customer records you enter are stored in Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit)
under the Apple ID signed in on the device, and on the device itself. The
Business that operates DispatchR is the controller of the customer information
in the App. Echad Software, LLC does not have access to that information.
- INFORMATION IN THE APP
a) Information the Business and its technicians enter
- Customer contact details: name, service and billing address, phone, email.
- Job, estimate, and invoice details: descriptions, line items, prices,
scheduling dates, status, and free-text notes. - Equipment records: type, manufacturer, model and serial number, year,
capacity, refrigerant, electrical ratings, filter size, location on the
property, and notes — associated with a service address. - Payment records: amount, tip, payment method, the payment processor’s
transaction identifier, and a receipt link. The App does NOT store full
card numbers, card security codes, or bank account numbers (see Section 5). - Technician profile: name, employee identifier, phone, and email, entered
by the Business.
b) Information the device or the App generates
- Technician location: if a technician turns on location sharing, the App
records the device’s latitude, longitude, and a timestamp and stores them
in the Business’s iCloud so dispatchers can see technician position and so
nearby card-reader and payment-eligibility checks can run. Location sharing
is off until the technician enables it and can be turned off at any time in
the App’s settings and in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location
Services. - Job-site photos and equipment nameplate photos: photos you capture with the
camera or choose from your photo library are attached to the relevant
record. Equipment nameplate text recognition runs entirely on the device
using Apple’s Vision framework; the image is not sent to us or to any third
party for that purpose. - A device push-notification token, provided by Apple, used to alert the
signed-in technician when a job is assigned to them. - App preferences and small local state (for example the selected tab, and
timestamps of files the App writes), kept in standard iOS storage on the
device. - A technician PIN, if set, stored only in the device keychain. It is used to
unlock the App on that device and is not transmitted to us.
We do NOT collect: advertising identifiers, contacts, browsing history,
health or fitness data, or biometric data. The App contains no third-party
advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you
across other companies’ apps or websites.
- HOW THE INFORMATION IS USED
Information in the App is used only to provide the service the Business runs it
for: showing technicians their jobs, managing customers and documents, tracking
equipment at a property, capturing photos for a job, sending job-assignment
notifications, showing technician location to the Business, and processing
payments the customer authorizes. We do not use any of this information for
advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.
- DEVICE PERMISSIONS THE APP REQUESTS
- Camera: to photograph job sites and equipment data plates.
- Photo Library: to attach existing photos to a job or equipment record.
- Location (While Using the App): for technician location sharing and for
card-reader proximity and payment-eligibility checks. Optional. - Bluetooth: to connect to a supported Square card reader for in-person
payments. - Notifications: to alert the signed-in technician about new job assignments.
Each permission is requested only when first needed and can be changed at any
time in iOS Settings. Denying a permission disables the related feature but
otherwise leaves the App usable.
- PAYMENT PROCESSING
In-person and link-based card payments are handled by third-party payment
processors that the Business connects to its own merchant accounts — Square,
and where enabled by the Business, Stripe and PayPal. When a payment is taken,
card data is captured and transmitted by the processor’s own software and card
reader; Echad Software, LLC and the App never receive the full card number or
security code. The App stores only the processor’s transaction identifier, the
amount, and a receipt link so the payment can be reconciled with the job.
Your payment information is handled under the processor’s own privacy policy:
- Square: https://squareup.com/legal/privacy
- Stripe: https://stripe.com/privacy
- PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/privacy-full
- WHERE DATA IS STORED, AND WHO CAN ACCESS IT
Records are stored in Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) private database associated with
the Apple ID on the device, and locally on the device. Apple processes and
stores this data as an infrastructure provider under Apple’s Privacy Policy
(https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) and iCloud terms.
Access to the records is limited to the Business’s authorized devices that are
signed into the relevant Apple ID and, where the Business uses Apple’s data
sharing, the people the Business shares that data with. Echad Software, LLC
operates no server that receives or stores your records and cannot see them.
- DATA SHARING
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Information is disclosed only:
- to the payment processor the Business selected, to complete a payment the
customer authorizes (Section 5); - to Apple, as the iCloud storage and push-notification provider (Section 6);
Records remain until the Business deletes them or removes the App and its
iCloud data. Because the data lives in the Business’s iCloud and on its
devices, deletion is controlled by the Business:
- Delete individual customers, jobs, equipment, or photos inside the App.
- Turn off “Load Demo Data” in Settings to remove all sample records.
- Sign out, delete the App, and, in iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud >
Manage Account Storage, delete the App’s iCloud data to remove everything.
If you are a customer of a Business that uses DispatchR and you want your
information corrected or deleted, contact that Business, which controls the
record. You may also contact us at [email protected] and we will help route the
request.
- SECURITY
Data in transit to iCloud and to payment processors is encrypted using
transport encryption. iCloud data is stored under Apple’s security controls.
Credentials such as a technician PIN and payment-processor tokens are stored in
the iOS keychain on the device. No method of storage or transmission is
completely secure, but we and our providers use measures appropriate to the
sensitivity of the data.
- CHILDREN
DispatchR is a business tool and is not directed to children. It is not
intended for use by anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
- YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live (for example under the California Consumer Privacy
Act or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or
